The Joy School engaged Pin Oak Interests to provide Project Management services over a seven year multi-phase period as the regenerated their campus which consisted of the following work all without closing down the school:
Phase 1 – Abate and demolish a recently purchased house, bring in new temporary classroom buildings and storage facilities on Chelsea Boulevard.
Phase 2 – Demolish two existing homes on Chelsea Avenue.
Phase 3 – Relocate underground utilities to allow the City of Houston to abandon Louisiana Street.
Phase 4 – Construct a new 2 story 25,000 sf school including 28 classrooms.
Phase 5 – Remove temporary classroom buildings, build 67 surface parking spaces and carpool lanes, and install playground equipment.
